Stencil film
You can easily apply wall texts yourself. You can use adhesive letters on a smooth, painted wall. Another option is to stipple text on a wall with a stencil film. This means you can apply shades of colour yourself
On the Order page, see menu button 'Order', you will find 'Stencil film' at the bottom of the list within the colour selection box.
The text letters are cut out of the stencil so that they can be stippled onto the base with acryl paint or latex emulsion paint.
The stencil consists of three layers; the backing paper, the stencil and an application film.
First you apply the stencil, just like adhesive letters, according to the adhesion instructions. You dip a sponge or a special stippling brush into the paint on a saucer with a little acryl paint or latex emulsion paint. Do not thin the paint, otherwise it will seep under the stencil film! You flick off excess blobs of paint onto a piece of cardboard.
When you have achieved a lovely stencil effect, you sensitively stipple over the stencil, do not wipe.
Acryl paint dries quickly and you can apply several layers on top of one another. Carefully remove the stencil when the paint is half dry.
On dark bases, you can first stipple a layer of white and only then the colour.
The stencils are made for one use alone. But with a little creativity they can be used several times. Although do take into account the little circle inside the O, for example. You should return this interior circle to the correct place each time and position it yourself. It helps to firmly stick the little circle inside the O to the stencil with a narrow piece of adhesive tape and to make "links" in this way, keeping the circle in its place. After the stencil is removed, you should touch up these "links" (the places where the adhesive tape was) with a little brush.
You can remove splashes immediately with a little water, before the paint is dry.
Soft pastel tints make a Fresco-like impression.
It is also possible to get a stencil made of your own design or logo. Just send us a good clear photo or eps file by email.
